Welcome
Welcome to Student Government (SG), where we represent you, the Walsh College student body. Your officers encourage you to participate, get involved, and make suggestions; regardless of your educational and professional background. Our focus is increased learning, communication, and teamwork in a comfortable environment. We listen to your suggestions and work with the College staff to try and implement them.
Members can gain all the skills necessary to be successful in today’s job market…leadership, project management, event planning, presentation, writing, etc. There is minimal time commitment, since meetings are typically held once a month at the Troy campus. (Specific dates and times are communicated to members via e-mail.) There are also great networking opportunities available with College staff, faculty, students, and on our Facebook page. SG is open to current students with 2+ semesters left at Walsh and who are not on probation. To become a member, complete a petition with 10 signatures.
Questions or suggestions? See our bulletin board in the Troy cafeteria. Or e-mail us at stugov@mail.walshcollege.edu or call 248-823-1381.

The Student Government project, "Walsh College Television," has been approved. The purpose of this project is to bring more visibility to the professors, students, courses, and college events. The PowerPoint slides -- which include student and faculty pictures, class content, and upcoming events -- are now running periodically on the flat screen television in the Barry Center. This is a continuous project that the Student Government and staff will be working on.
Walsh College Television is the result of excellent contributions from Jessica Knapik from Records & Registration, Holly Blust and Brenda Meller from Marketing. Teamwork and ideas can lead to opportunities!
